During today’s parliamentary session, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa raised concerns regarding the non-payment of funds donated by Asian Cricket Council chief Jay Shah and Indian cricket star Siraj. The sum of USD 50,000 and USD 5,000 respectively were intended for the ground staff of Pallekele and R. Premadasa stadiums. Mr. Premadasa questioned the whereabouts of this money, as the staff have yet to receive their payment.
