Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Israeli Top state leader Benjamin Netanyahu was the same as Adolf Hitler and compared Israel’s assaults on Gaza to the treatment of Jewish individuals by the Nazis.
NATO part Turkey, which upholds a two-state answer for the Israeli-Palestinian struggle, has condemned Israel’s air and ground attack on Gaza, considered it a “dread state” and said its chiefs should be attempted in global courts.
Honing his manner of speaking, Erdogan said Turkey would invite scholastics and researchers confronting oppression for their perspectives on the contention in Gaza, adding Western nations supporting Israel were complicit in what he called atrocities.
“They used to tear down Hitler. What improvement do you have from Hitler? They will make us long for Hitler. Is the thing this Netanyahu is doing any not as much as what Hitler did? It isn’t,” Erdogan said.
“He receives support from the West and is wealthier than Hitler. A wide range of help comes from the US. And with all of this support, what did they do? They killed in excess of 20,000 Gazans,” he said.
Netanyahu answered by saying the Turkish president ought to be the last individual to address Israel.
“Erdogan, who carries out slaughter against the Kurds, who holds a world record for detaining columnists who go against his standard,” Netanyahu said in a proclamation, “is the last individual who can teach ethical quality to us.”
