Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabri announced today that the agreement in principle between the Sri Lankan authorities and their official creditors, represented by the Official Creditor Committee (OCC), will be considered by the IMF Executive Board by December 12. Minister Sabri also expressed optimism that Sri Lanka will receive the second tranche of the IMF extended fund facility in the coming weeks. He highlighted the significance of the OCC agreement on debt treatment as a notable international achievement for Sri Lanka.
