According to State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Janaka Wakkumbura, online payment portals for all 341 local government entities will be available beginning next year.
The official said a cell phone application is wanted to be sent off by Walk 31, 2024, for this reason.
The Ministry stated earlier that 69 local government institutions already have this online payment system, and that taxes, including assessment taxes, are being paid through the online system in those institutions.
Further, it is intended to do the exercises connected with getting essential endorsements for the development area under this internet based framework.
The ministry stated that the aim of the new program is to make it possible for the general public to complete their requirements without any hiccups. It added that the program will be implemented for all 341 local government bodies on the island by the end of this year.
