The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has reported that heavy rainfall in the vicinity has caused an obstruction on the route to Somawathi Raja Maha Viharaya. As a result, the road is no longer accessible for light vehicles. According to the DMC, approximately 500 meters of the road is submerged under 1.5 feet of water.
