Sri Lanka has entered into an agreement to dispatch its workforce to Israel.

Minister Bandula Gunawardana announced that Sri Lanka has reached an agreement with Israel to send workers to work in the agricultural sector. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment. The agreement states that the Population, Immigration and Territory Authority of Israel will recruit labor for agricultural activities. Minister Gunawardana assured that the Sri Lankan workers will be provided with top-notch security. It is worth noting that Sri Lanka recently received the remains of a Sri Lankan who died in the Israel-Hamas war.
