In the one-day match between New Zealand XI and the visiting Bangladesh team led by Liton Das, Nikith Perera, who was born in Sri Lanka but now resides in Auckland, represented the New Zealand XI. Notably, his teammates Samrath Singh and Quinn Sunde also played for the same team. Nikith’s father, Nimalke Perera, who used to be a prominent cricket and rugby player for Antonian and also represented CR and FC in club rugby during the late 80s, currently resides in New Zealand.
