French authorities have grounded a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Nicaragua carrying 303 Indian passengers following a tip-off suggesting that it may be involved in human trafficking, according to prosecutors. The flight, operated by Legend Airlines, a small charter company based in Romania, was halted at Vatry Airport near Paris for refueling. All passengers and crew members are currently being questioned, with two individuals being held in custody for further investigation. The Indian Embassy in France has confirmed that consular access has been granted to the passengers, and they are ensuring their well-being. Legend Airlines has denied any involvement in human trafficking, stating that the responsibility for verifying passenger identities lies with the customer who chartered the plane.
