The 18 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) is to be charged from ambulances when they are imported, Chairman of the Public Finance Committee MP Harsha de Silva told Parliament today.
“It is unfair to charge VAT from ambulances including Suwaseriya and we call for an amendment to the proposed proposal under the VAT amendment,” he said.
