Last night in Weligama, a shooting incident resulted in injuries to two individuals, one of whom is the owner of a fish stall. According to the police, two unidentified individuals arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire at the victims, and quickly fled the scene. The injured parties were initially taken to Walana Hospital but have now been transferred to Matara Hospital for further medical attention. The victims, aged 42 and 52, reside in Denipitiya and Welipitiya respectively. Additionally, the police have confirmed that the other injured individual is an employee of the fish stall. The Weligama Police are currently conducting investigations into this incident.
