Sanath Jayasuriya, the former captain, has been designated as the Cricket Consultant for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). In this capacity, he will be responsible for supervising all the teams that participate in SLC’s High Performance Centre. This appointment signifies a strategic move by Sri Lanka Cricket to utilize the skills and wisdom of a renowned cricketing figure in order to enhance the progress and advancement of the sport. Having previously served as the Chairman of Selectors, Jayasuriya brings a vast amount of cricketing expertise and understanding to his new role as Cricket Consultant.
