In Parliament today, President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa engaged in a heated argument over various matters. During their exchange, the Opposition Leader accused those managing the microphones and video cameras of not being impartial. He requested that the Chair ensure proper videography and expressed his concern over unfair treatment. The President agreed with the Opposition Leader and suggested that the cameras be focused on him instead. However, the Opposition Leader clarified that he did not say the UNP working committee was involved and asked the President not to twist his words. The President reiterated his request for the cameras to be on the Opposition Leader at all times.
