A citizen of India was apprehended at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) for allegedly attempting to smuggle a shipment of gold worth more than Rs. 120 million.
Reportedly, the individual was discovered with 5.5 kilograms of gold in their possession.
Upon her arrival from Dubai, Sri Lanka Customs officers at BIA detained the woman.
