Sri Lanka is to sign an Economic and Technology Co-operation Agreement (ETCA) with India and a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China, President Ranil Wickremesinghe told Parliament today.
The Economic and Technology Co-operation Agreement is a proposed diplomatic arrangement that seeks to add to the existing free trade agreement between India and Sri Lanka, primarily in relation to trade-in services and the service sector.
The President also said that Sri Lanka will resume construction of the Central Expressway with the support of China and Japan after the debt restructuring process in completed.
