The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre today issued an advisory for Rough Sea and Strong Winds.
According to the advisory, “The cyclonic storm “Midhili” over North-west Bay of Bengal located near latitude 20.8°N and longitude 89.0°E at 0830 hours of today, the 17th November. It is likely to move north-northeastwards and cross Bangladesh coast during 17th November 2023 evening.Wind speed will be (60-70) kmph and can increase up to (80-90) kmph in sea areas between (18N- 23N) and between (86E – 94E). Heavy showers or thundershowers and very rough seas can also be expected in above sea areas.”
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regards.
